The rise of political faith based science

I just drove by a sign in my hometown, it says, “I believe in science”. As someone who has three technical degrees, so do I.

But I don’t believe in political faith based science. Faith based science has nothing to do with a higher being, nothing to do with a bible, its a faith based on women/men wearing lab coats AND the belief in the facts which conform to your political beliefs.

Unfortunately, scientific facts can be an illusive thing and can change, heresy I know.

We know a lot more about Covid-19 now, than we did in March of 2020. Men and Women of science pronounced with somber tones what we needed to do. I did what they asked me to do, I masked up, stayed home, gained 10 pounds and got vaccinated as soon as I could.

Some of what they proposed, we didn’t need to do. Particularly that Covid resides on surfaces for days. We sanitized America daily, and yes I did also. My sister had an outdoor spot where Amazon deliveries could sun bath for days before they got brought in. She unwrapped boxes with disposable gloves. She’s a nurse and she’s seen what people in ICU look like. Hey, I get it, we do the best we can and adjust when we know/learn more. I’m in with that, because I believe in science.

My point? The science changed. A lot of it didn’t, but a lot did. So when…
