Physics taught me, often we don't know an input variable exactly, but we can create an envelope around the value of the variable put bounds on it, and many times that is perfectly adequate. Math teaches us precision and "the" value, physics teaches us, approximations many times are just as good. I love Monte Carlo simulations.
