No running twitter is not harder than manned rockets. Its a messaging app, any 3rd year CS Major could code it up in 2 weeks. The advertising part should be spun off and out sourced. I can't see why 7,000 employees could possibly be needed. Twitter doesn't even make anything, they never have to ship a product, SpaceX makes stuff and it's stuff can't go boom. No even a close comparison.
