Long time ago, when in an MBA class, in like 1982. My prof asked each of us what our career goals were. Of course many of us said, CEO of the firm we were currently at. He told us all, that is not the question, the question is what price are we willing to pay? He said, each of us could be the CEO if we wanted to be, but were we willing to pay the price?
