I’m wondering if the colonists extended the stone work from the head. Which could mean, narrow tall from the front of the head and wider, shallower from the back of the head. I think I see that.
I am totally fascinated with First Nation stone works. How could we have missed this for so long? (Don’t answer that). I am sadden my father died before this was discussed. He was British, and on his 4 acres of land in Connecticut he built many stone walls and marveled at the stone walls running through forests. If he had known this, he would have walked the forests looking for First Nation stone work.
