I live in Connecticut a while back I took a hike to one of his caves and crawled in. Perfect for camping to get out of the rain and a natural vent for a campfire's smoke to escape. I then realized I crawled into a cave on a mountain named, "Rattlesnake Mountain". How dumb was that? I very carefully crawled back out. And stuck to the path on the hike out. When he was re-interred they were hoping for some traces of DNA. But as indicated in the article no suitable remains were found. The Leatherman was suspected to be French because of his speech which was not understood but sounded French, to this day, his origin is unknown.
