Hi, John, I live in Connecticut (First Nation's for "By the Long River"). Connecticut as it would later be known was colonized by refugees from the Massachusetts Puritans over religious differences. It was only in the 1970s that stores were allowed to be open on Sundays in Connecticut, we called those laws, "the blue laws". And only 10 years ago, we could start to buy alcohol on Sundays! Its been a steady decline in our morals since then ;}. Incidentally the leader of the refugees was Thomas Hooker, Hooker, he and others wrote the "The Fundamental Orders of Connecticut", a document influenced by the Magna Carta and later influenced the US Constitution. It was the 1st time in human history a document called a government into being.
